Eh. Hindsight is 20/20. I would’ve done the same thing with my early picks in 2016 & 2017, and it would’ve been hard to predict Fowler tearing his ACL and getting beat out by a third round pick the following year

I disagree. I think Bortles is better when he has a guy who can catch those, those are Bortles favorite passes to throw haha, and he really plummeted this year without that kind of contested-catch talent

 

Bortles is bad regardless haha. ARob had the same one great anomaly year that Bortles had
Hes replaceable

He’s not a super rare talent, but he’s not easily replaceable. Especially on a team that has too many holes right now in terms of, players they can’t afford, to even worry about WR right now.

I still would love K’Neal Harry if we traded down for him somehow, but every time I bring him up it’s with the asterisk of “highly irresponsible pick”

 

Yeah a possession receiver is available in literally every draft. Hes incredibly replaceable haha. Golladay is already better than him.

 

Not true. I’ve been watching Golladay as well and he kinda disappoints me sometimes because he’d be putting up 7 catches for 150 rather than 4 for 85 if he would get stronger and hold onto those contested balls. He’s got a great frame and measurables, but ARob is just stronger and better hands. Better at contested catches and high pointing the ball. The reason I like Golladay is because he has more speed and could become more than just a possession guy.

 

I just noticed, is gase preferring guys shorter than him a thing? Christianson was his guy before loggains and they're both like 5'6? Seems like this dude truly has small dick syndrome

 

Most of the time Robinsin isnt getting that 4 for 85 though

 

He will come around next year. And I also maintain that Trubisky doesn’t let him do what he does best

 

Maybe what he does best just isnt very good haha. Or yeah, maybe his chemistry with ARob is off. We will see!

It just occured to me that basically every steelers WR has ended this same way

Emmanuel Sanders, Santonio Holmes, Plaxico Burress, Mike Wallace...whose contract they literally gave to AB. I think Hines Ward is the only steelers leading WR who didnt have a major fallout

This trend gives me faith they can overcome, but the thought of wasting a team with Ben, a league best WR, RB, O-line, and at least competent front 7 is as nauseating as it gets.
