Baker Mayfield is the opposite of what Deshaun Watson was as a rookie.

Watson threw a high number of interceptable passes in his rookie season, but didn't throw too many picks and was able to drive and produce.

100% of Mayfield's interceptable passes were picked off, which is an unlucky number very few players have. His statistics actually looked worse than how well he played and there's reason to believe his numbers next year will reflect him being a lot better even if he doesn't play that differently.

Jets prediction: gase is awful, mccagnan gone, gase bring in gm, gase out, shitty gm brings in another shitty coach, shitty gm is out, shitty coach is shitty, rinse and repeat for the next 100 years

    The rivalry is back on

He’s also the opposite of Deshaun Watson in that he had time to throw almost all season. I can’t find the infographic I’m thinking of that I kept seeing when people talked about the Colts’ OL, but during the back half of the season, the Browns gave up some comically small amount of pressure that was leaps and bounds better than the rest of the NFL

If that comes back down to Earth and is even a normal amount above league average, I think we’ll see regression as he has to make more decisions under pressure

The Cowboys are the first playoff team in 31 years where all their starters are under 30 years old.

Bummed for Jim Caldwell. Rooney rule’d by three or four teams and has to watch multiple coaches he’s had more demonstrable success than get hired over him. Not that I believe he’s a great coach, but he’s as good or better than plenty in the league and I thought the Lions parted ways with him too soon, especially for fucking Patricia.

For all the dunces I keep seeing who say college coaches couldn't dare pick good staffs for the NFL? Look at chip kellys fucking staff, about 10 of them are still in the league and 5 still on the eagles who won a Super Bowl championship. But Rhule can't pick his assistants.

Discounting his years with Peyton, which is fair, and his OC run with Flacco, for which I think he deserves the credit he gets, he has 3 winning seasons in 4 years as a head coach, with two playoff berths. Sure, he went 0-2. But while I think he’s mediocre at worst and middling at best, I think it’s a tough argument to make in favor for some coaches in the league, including a couple hired this offseason, over him.

in my mind, if you are mediocre, you suck. Actually, being mediocre in the NFL is worse than actually sucking (believe me, I would know)

not saying that I agree with some of these coaching hires, but he isnt a guy I would ever talk up or feel excited about

Caldwell is good at beating bad and mediocre teams. He will never beat teams that are good to great. He’s the definition of an 8-8 coach. You will never get far with him.

I will always rather take a chance on an unknown commodity than subject myself to mediocrity under Caldwell.

And they should’ve won more as well as playoff games. Caldwell wasn’t good.
