It's been weirdly silent on the Lions OC search

Makes me think they might be waiting for one of the Rams guys

Probably still negotiating his contract/want to get coordinators in line before the announcement

I'm guessing that's both, but teams announce head coaches all the time without the rest of their staff in tact. No reason not to make an official announcement about your head coach, especially when it's being spread on the internet for more than 24 hours. Bizarre.

The biggest problem here is following Tony Grossi.

You’re right, Gase is known for picking great coordinators

I was more saying that forcing someone onto Rhule and pushing him away, while allowing someone like Gase (who has never picked a good coordinator) to have free reign is fucking dumb

    The rivalry is back on

If Rhule wasn’t willing to take this approach and budge on not hiring guys with more experience, I wouldn’t blame the Jets for looking elsewhere and calling that a dealbreaker

But also, that doesnt make the decision to hire Gase with that staff so far look much better

Who was he even rumored to want to hire to his staff though? All I saw was possibly Monken as OC, which, would have been a good thing

Sooo anyone have an inside scoop on McCarthy? Haven't heard anything besides him wanting that Jets squad a few days ago.

    Very good question lol

The only coaches I can think of that Rhule has worked with before that have NFL experience are Al Golden and Ben McAdoo, but I wouldn't want either of them as coordinators at this point

Also both of them were Rhule's bosses, that would be strange
