How involved was Adam Gase with the draft?

Some of my biggest complaints about Rex Ryan and Todd Bowles were that they were very hands off when it came to the draft.

 

Letting an offensive minded head coach pick his offensive coordinator is not moronic. It makes all the sense in the world.

What doesn't make sense is Mike Maccagnan and Christopher Johnson telling Matt Rhule that he needed hire coaches with more NFL experience. If you want a coach, let him pick his staff. I hate that shit about our franchise. The reporting structure is broken. Woody Johnson isn't even involved anymore and they are still finding way to fuck up crucial decisions.

 

At least we have Sam Darnold for now. That just means we won't reach for Kyler Murray or any of these other trash QB prospects.

Hahaha, was looking up Dolphins drafts to see analysis, and holy shit is this ESPN article amazing. With the Dolphins first choice in 2017, maybe they should have taken a risk?
