God bless Tony Romo. He'll forever be my favorite Cowboys player, even if we win more Super Bowls with someone else. He was a beast.

 

If y'all do win a Super Bowl I expect Jerry to go to the booth at the end of the game and offer Romo a ring

 

I wouldn't be shocked if he did offer one, but I doubt Romo would take it.

Article about CTE and Chris Borland. A great read. CTE is scary stuff.

 

This (and other similar methods) are much better than comparing raw stats across eras, but I’ve always felt these adjustments go too far in the other direction.

All things equal, I’d think a normalized QB rating of 80 would help your team win more in the current NFL than it would in the 50s NFL because the position is so much more important to the game because of rule changes, etc

Basically I disagree with anything that comes to conclusions like that Otto Graham is the best NFL QB of all time

 

Yeah, like adjusting based on era definitely isn't foolproof especially given how much more of the pressure of the offense has been on the QB for the 80s-90s for example versus years where the QB had very little responsibility on a team

 

This is an excellent read so far, still working my way through it. Chris Borland is awesome, his interview on Arian Foster's podcast was great.
