I am prepared to shut the fuck up about Amari Cooper if and only if they make it to a conference championship.

I am prepared to shut the fuck up about Dak if they win the Bowl.

I think these are fair lines for me to draw in the sand.

 

Don't get me wrong, it was a hail mary, last straw for Dak and Garrett kind of move by Jerry/Stephen Jones, but it paid off and I'm thrilled it did because I love Dak.

 

Dak is good

I think both of those are too lofty and unrealistic of "goals" to have about the trade in that we were 3-4 and trending down in every direction before the trade and then went 7-2 with a playoff win and possibly more after. That's enough for me to say that it was a good trade.

 

Not true. I went from “huh, maybe an oft injured expensive QB might not need two first round picks” to “okay damn that’s expensive let’s not even discuss it, I love Wentz but he’s not top 5, he won’t carry a bad team”

 

My opinion of Wentz is the same. I’d love to have him. I’m not breaking the team to go get him though. I’d only do that for Wilson, Luck, Mahomes, mayyyybe Mayfield just cause he has zero injury history, Rodgers. and really Brady / Brees / Rivers are too old now to be worth that.

Even DeShaun Watson would be a no for me at that price, I love him too

 

Eh, a first round pick is supposed to be foundational to multiple years of success. He may not be around for multiple years, and if so, he'll be costly af. The reason you make a midseason move like this is to go all in on the year so i think getting close to the Super Bowl at least proves out it was worth the shot.

As for Dak, I think he's bad. I'm always gonna, but you get to the bowl, that's stfu about me work so i can deal and move on to making fun of another quarterback.

I’m also worried about the health of Lamar doing all the running he is. With Allen, he’s more likely to hurt the people trying to hurt him

 

I mean, I would LOVE for us to win this week and next and beyond, but I think it's still kind of an unfair goal to put on Cooper's shoulders, but that's just my personal opinion on it. My previous post lays out why I think the trade is already considered successful.

As far as Dak, I can't understand how anyone could think he's not at least good. He had bad throws every now and then but for every 1-3 of those, there are 15-20 good plays he has almost every week.

 

I actually think the Cowboys could win this week. As for Dak, there's a lot of good QBs in the league now. So, my not being impressed with him as a lot to do with being impressed by others. I do think Dak is good enough to fix the Jaguars lol.

 

I feel like the AFC is wide open and in the NFC I’m like 98% the Saints are going to win

 

If Dak was a free agent sure. Fuck trading for him though. Especially if we lost Fournette

Oh, there are definitely multiple quarterbacks better than Dak, no disagreement there at all.

Yeah I think it depends on your definition of “good”. He’s “good” enough to be an undisputed NFL starter, so in that sense he’s good. But also I’d take Brees, Mahomes, Wilson, Ryan, Rivers, Watson, Wentz, Goff, Cousins, Luck, Brady, Rodgers, Big Ben, Cam and Baker over Dak (AKA half the league) if I needed to win 1 game, and that’s not counting fringe cases where I could go either way, so in that sense, he is an average at best starting QB, and not “good”.
