All I know is Michael Thomas has 102 receptions and two more touchdowns than Allen last year and it's 12/11.

People are quick to say Michael Thomas puts up those numbers because of where he plays, but show me the other receivers Brees/Payton have had that do what he does?

Damn. I tried to argue with this but that's pretty convincing. Those are some strong stats for Thomas haha, damn.

I checked recent stats and still Allen only averages 85 yards per game. Brees has passed the ball slightly less than Rivers the last two years too so Thomas is getting more of Brees' volume than Allen is getting of Rivers'

I mean yeah but Brees also doesn't always have the best receiving talent either. The last guy they drafted in round one was Cooks and hes too small to make the contested grabs that you need to have that kind of production. Before that Robert Meachem and Devery Henderson were 1st / 2nd round busts (respectively) and 7th round Marques Colston from fuckin Hofstra was his leading target. They also used Ted Ginn as a fucking WR2 the last two years.

Also, by strictly comparing receivers we conveniently ignore Jimmy Graham's HISTORIC performance in New Orleans.
