like i hated Benjamin as a prospect. All he is and all he has ever been is size.

 

I was mainly just making a joke but yeah I hated him too, but I also had unreasonable bias due to being upset about that championship game where he used his skill of "being tall"

 

I hope the Browns don't hire someone who just got fired. haha

 

I liked Kelvin as a role player but was baffled when he was taken to be the #1 guy.

Still kinda disagree that y'all think 2 years of great play is enough to rank Thielen and Thomas over Allen, who has been playing that well for 5-6 years

You ask me the best route runners in the league? Antonio Brown and Keenan Allen. Yes both are even better than OBJ and Julio who are next on my list.

(I know Dave's gonna run in here, and slide on his socks into the wall with toilet paper still hangin out his ass, just to rush and tell us BUT EDELMAN!)

 

Michael Thomas has been playing that well for three years and in terms of receptions, yards, and touchdowns across a three year period only AB has him beat.

 

FWIW I don't have Thielen over Allen, just Thomas

 

This is also Keenan Allen's third 1,000 yard season in six years. And Thielen is having a better three year period than Allen has ever had too.

Michael Thomas is very precise but what makes me rank Allen and Brown higher is the fact that they are excellent improvisers. Thomas hardly has to do much ad libbing the way that Saints offense is playing. It's that next level chemistry and ability to adapt that comes with being a veteran.

 

I get ranking Allen higher than Thomas personally for sure. He's fun to watch. But actually being better? Naaaah. Thomas has proven he's one of the best and most consistent receivers in the league. I'd take him over Allen any day.

 

Okay but one of those seasons was cut short and one was cut VERY SHORT

 

Using overall season stats is a cheap shot when you know Allen's been hurt. What about stats-per-game?

It's definitely underrated but def not in the Brown tier of route running

But if we really wanna talk underrated it's Will Fuller's route running, he made massive strides before the tear this season after working with Andre

 

All i know is Allen went 102 catches for 1393 yards in his only 16-game season - last year

 

His route running isn't elite if that's what you're asking.

He is the best contested-catch WR in the league and that's what makes him elite. He's also an amazing improviser.

 

Sure. But being unreliable in terms of health still counts against him. The same can be said about Thomas getting 1,000 yards every season.

As far as per game, Allen is 82.6 yards per game with a 72.1 catch%. Thomas is 93.7 ypg and 86.4 catch%
