Still can't believe the Browns got Randall for Kizer.

 

Funniest part is he's not even a top 5 cap hit on his team as a QB. And 4 of the 5 that are ahead of him are responsible for way worse teams (Garropolo, Stafford, Flacco, Carr)

Matt Stafford is more impossible to trade too; his signing and roster bonuses mean its 2020 before the Lions can do anything (currently $50mil in dead cap). Whereas the Vikings can get rid of Cousin's deal any second with no penalty if another team trades for him.

I'd want Rivera to replace Marrone lol. It'd be basically the same thing but Rivera is at least better at it.

I remember when I was told Cousins was a really good QB.

 

He might be a perfect fit there. Someone with the credibility to step in and right things. Honestly, worst thing that happened to him was winning the Super Bowl; they had to give Joe Flacco that big deal that they then had to re-work last year that screwed them forever. He only had one season below 10-6 before that, he's only had one season at 10-6 or better since then. If they win a playoff game but not he SB, they probably franchise Flacco for one year and move on, and then they are looking at Bridgewater or Carr or Garropolo as their QB...at the rookie cap number for 5 years instead of $20+ mil/yr with Flacco.

At worst, he ends his tenure at 101-73, with only 2 losing seasons in 11 years. And his final 3 seasons as the 2nd team in the division just barely missing the playoffs each year

I still would have paid Kirk Cousins that deal. They should be 7-5 instead of 6-6-1 because of their kicker directly. O-line is also a bit of dumpster fire, which means top 10 in sacks and bottom 5 in rushing. Replace him with Case Keenum or Bridgewater and you're looking at a 4-8 team. Basically, Kirk left Washington and ended up...in WAS with a better defense.

If they were getting anything out of Treadwell or Cook or their other cheap guys...

 

Kirk Cousins choosing the Vikings over the Jets is probably the best thing to happen to the Jets since 2010.

 

Plus, they moved the 4th and 5th rounders that still became Callaway and Avery. haha
