Wouldn't fucking surprise me after watching TJ Carrie or whatever his name is twisting Hopkins' ankle on every play

Dumb question but if you are making wings and are using ghost pepper hot sauce do you keep what would be the franks red hot proportion the same in the recipe or do you lessen it so you don't die?

 

Or do you just toss the wings in the sauce

It was in response to Dustin comparing the two injured TE on the Texans to our two TE on IR

We had a practice squad player at TE1

 

And a TE is a great ally to a rookie QB getting his first starts

This is basically what I mean when i say everyone exaggerates how bad Bortles is.

He sucks but it's not all him. Our WR have fucking sucked for the most part too. And that's why Kessler can't do shit either.

You put one of the worst QB with one of the worst / most injured receiving corps and of course he looks even worse. But if you think these WR would be fine with another QB you are pretty wrong.

I'd actually say that Bortles "upside" ELEVATED his receivers *at times*, and that was happening simultaneously at the same time, as him making back breaking mistakes and being super inaccurate / inconsistent in between those good throws haha. He'd make a WR look good on one play and then ruin the whole drive the next play.

I think I'll do an even split and just put the same amt of sauce in with the butter/vinegar/etc and not just toss the wings in the sauce

 

Bortles is not a good quarterback, but I think he's taking additional criticism because of the fact they not only stuck with him, but gave him that extension.

 

I mean that's true but also it's not like when you went from Bortles to Kessler I was like "oh no we're fucked"

 

I mean Bortles definitely has more “talent”.

People are taking for granted how hard it is to actually beat defenses downfield repeatedly and put up 300 / 3 TD games, there were times (intermittently) when he legit played well enough to lead a team. He at least showed the *ability* to have high volume games and make tough third and long conversions in ways that a Kessler isn’t even capable of. Bortles isn’t Trent Dilfer / Brian Hoyer / etc, his physical tools are NFL level, it’s understandable at least why a team would have taken a chance on developing him.

The problem is he just can’t put it all together. Doesn’t matter if you CAN do those things, his erratic pattern ruined the team’s development and faith in him. Kessler is more reliable, you know what you’re gonna get. Bortles entices you to call an aggressive gameplan and then disappoints you by being “off his game” way more than any professional athlete should.

 

Bortles had more talent but he's somewhere between Eli Manning and Theon Greyjoy now.
