Penn State ahead of Washington State is borderline criminal. WSU should be in the NY6 and I hate them.
They aren’t going to win but god damn am I excited to see the matchup of Haskins & Co. v. The UW D. With that being said, it's only been 5.5 hours since the matchup was formally announced and I am already prepared to drop a nuke within a fifty mile radius of Columbus. Holy shit, I thought Bama fans were bad from a few years ago but my god are these nerds another beast.
Yeah between buckeye fans, wolverine fans and our fanbase (ND) the midwest/great lakes is the true hellhole of bad college football fanbases. Bama/LSU/Florida ain't got nothing on us I'm afraid
psh... i know it doesn't matter but c'mon guys, 5) Ohio State 6) UCF 7) Georgia 8) washington 9) michigan 10) LSU. seemed kinda obvious. also, honestly, i'd have notre dame be the 4 seed. Undefeated is undefeated i understand, but they're clearly the 4th team here in my opinionb
It's all about the money (i.e. NBC TV deal), don't believe anyone who tells you otherwise. The minute NBC isn't willing to pay us that kind of money anymore is the minute that we'll join a conference. Say it's wrong, say it's dumb, say it's whatever but I promise you that's how it is. School officials can rant on all they want about Irish football's tradition of independence but that's dumb. It has always been and will always be about revenue. Why did Missouri and A&M leave the Big 12? So they could get their asses kicked by Bama and LSU (well sometimes lol) once an autumn? Because there was less money in staying in the Big 12 because of the way the Longhorn Network is set up.
I agree, and for the record I'd have no problem with UCF being in there--I think most CFB fans if they get honest are really curious about what would happen. But it's a moneymaking sport; it exists primarily to generate revenue for universities and networks. I'm sure that seems cynical but I think it's pretty self-evident it's true (and one of the reasons I think college athletes should be paid, but that's a topic for another day). As a fan of the sport it sucks, but as a person who went to an expensive college basically for free in no small part because my school makes an ungodly amount of money from TV revenue, I have mixed feelings. $0.02.
Not surprised. Honestly, he shouldn't get back into coaching again with his condition. Go do a studio show if he wants to still be involved in the game or just consult with Ohio State or another college.
"health concerns" - fuck this guy. obviously, we already know he's a scumbag, and whenever the going get's tough, he cites "heath concerns" and bails. same thing he did at florida, before coming back and then doing the same thing after the next season. now, the heat's turned up at osu and he does it again. guarantee in the next three years he's back on the sideline somewhere else, continuing to be a piece of trash.
Dream scenario for new home entrances at The Shoe: "DON'T YOU DARE BE SOUR! Get up for your 2018 Big Ten Champs and FEEL THE POWER!" It's a new Day, yes, it is!" *The team comes out with JK Dobbins on trumpet as the crowd erupts*
This was pretty much expected anyways, but Day looked pretty good in those first three games this year. It'll be interesting to see if Haskins leaves. (I think he will, but you never know.)
