“time of the corn” you mean the team that still managed to lose to a historically bad wisconsin team? alright sure lol
Walked out of work today (in Sydney) in my Ducks shirt. A dude in the foyer of the building stopped me and asked “are you from Oregon? I used to play for the ducks” haha
Brown is in. I might be at UNC in the fall, boys. (If I don’t go back to the big leagues of high school football)
Saban wanted to hire him before this season and it nearly happened. But too many people inside the program started bitching. Bc hookers and shenanigans. My take on it is if we can hire Lane and have no controversy or bullshit for three seasons then Saban can manage anyone.
I have someone telling me Mack wants Chizik and Kingsbury as his coordinators. Do you know anything about that?
I saw a tweet about it but it seemed not too legit but who knows! Anyway I'm excited for good news @Night Channels
I’ve got a student (currently) headed to UNC next fall for football, but he mentioned he might test the waters if the coach is fired. That’s the part that’s so hard - the relationships that staffs build just go to shit anytime there’s a change like this. Then again, if it results in a random dude on a random Internet forum I frequent getting on staff, I’d say it’s pretty awesome.
I’m actually pretty ok with the hire now. The program is at a point where it needs to kinda regroup and start over. Brown still has a great relationship with the board and boosters. And I think he’ll be able to recruit well. I don’t think this is meant to be a long term plan at all. I doubt Brown will be expensive. So they’ll have a little relief while they pay for Fedora’s buyout. Ideally, he’ll get the program respectable and then they either let Kingsbury take over or go after Satterfield.
I don’t know why anyone would want Kingsbury running their program. Even adjusting for context, the defenses he’s overseen have been seriously terrible.
