Btw that Ohio state win just made ucf that much harder. I assumed Ohio state lost and was about to exclaim the ucf playoff birth a possibility. But its tough now. They need Oklahoma to lose to west Virginia or Texas. Totally a possibility. Washington state needs to lose to Washington orUtah. Totally a possibility. But here is the tough part. They need the winner of michigan/Ohio state to lose the big 10 champ game. It seemed much more possible that Michigan needed to lose 1 of 2. I'll tell you this. I guarantee two of those three things happen.
He “finished his block” on a player that wasn’t moving after his QB had already left the pocket. The same player had another cheapshot 2 plays later and got flagged for it. I’m sure you thought the blindside hit on Edwards was just a good solid football play too.
The block on Winovich was not a dirty play. That’s just football. I didn’t see the hit on Edwards so I can’t speak on that one.
My homerism is probably just getting in the way so I apologize if I’m coming off like an ass. It just really seemed like there was multiple IU players on the field out there with an intent to injure. Their own fans are apologizing for their antics on the field.. Here is the blindside hit on Edwards btw.
We just going to complain that Indiana is dirty without mentioning that Winovich cleated a dude earlier in the game or what? Love when fans are so blinded by fandom they don't even think rationally.
That's targeting for sure, but I have a hard time calling that a dirty play. He's not unprotected and he's facing the player that delivers the hit. Leading with the helmet is not good football, but it's going to happen. That's the danger of kickoff coverage. Full speed, crash dummy football.
Notre Dame, Michigan, Oklahoma Georgia, and Washington State and I've got TWO of my teams in the playoffs bb.
