Yeah let's not forget Barkley was throwing to Robert Woods and Marquis Lee in an offense that HEAVILY favored the pass. Stats are far from telling the full story there. Also his best performance of the season came against Stanford, his stock isn't high because he put up numbers against cupcakes, he has legit NFL talent and the tape shows it. Again, sure he could leave this year be a high pick and get his money early. Or he could come back, play with his brother for a year, get his degree, be a heisman favorite, play on a loaded team with playoff aspirations, and then leave and most likely still be a high pick. Its a risk but that's what loss of value insurance is for. He's also not a kid who grew up with the singular goal of playing in the NFL, he was planning on becoming a doctor two years ago. He's gonna be fine
He's an NFL player tho, way better than say *tries to think of a single Oregon wr who got drafted or got play on a team and cant*
Apparently in 2015 he became a "wr" but he's really just a shittier version of sproles as a pass catching rb so hey
All Oregon fans should be doing back flips over him potentially returning without a doubt but it's just a silly move on his part. Also, he's not a Heisman favorite as long as Tua is alive. Herbert would also give up the #1 QB in 2019 to him as well.
Why take out an insurance policy for a few million when he can make legit like $20 million in a signing bonus. What does he gain by staying for another year, besides playing for free for another year when he could be playing for actual life-changing money next year. Who cares what his dreams were as a kid? Dreams and goals change depending on circumstances. He gains nothing but college football cred if he comes back. He can complete his degree in the future if he values it that much. It just makes too much sense to help himself and immediately family out by making $20+ million in the NFL, nearly guaranteed. You sell high, my man. Hanging onto a stock when it literally cannot max out any higher (He's the consensus No. 1 QB off the board in 2019, QB's almost always go early in the draft, his signing bonus will be great) after next season.
Also he was a monster in college, dude had 1700 receiving and like 900 return yards his sophomore year
Dennis Dixon has monster numbers in college football and he’s the best QB in the nfl now wait a minute
I'm glad he wasn't convicted and that he didn't accept a plea after the prosecutors found out it didn't happen, but I also can't help but feel for real survivors who will continue to be either silenced or not believed on top. What bad situation all around.
Heard this morning that Meyer and the AD are having issues and that Meyer has more “health issues” and is possibly gonna leave after the season hahahahahahahahababahabahabahabBbBbHahahahahahahahahahahahahaaahahahahahaha What a fucking mess and a joke he is
