I think it's great for someone like Murray because amateurs drafted into pro sports never have any leverage, so he should absolutely hold football over the A's heads and get all the cash he can.
Not as high profile as Murray but Jordyn Adams from Cary, NC was #17 in the MLB draft has chosen baseball over playing at UNC.
Smart move. That's where he'll make his money. No point in risking a bright future in a sport where athletes make way more and can play much longer. Getting past that initial contract and signing bonus should be the ultimate goal for these kids.
I remember the tigers drafted him in one of the earlyish rounds and he chose to stay and play football, I guess that was pre injuries
I don't think he actually bought the car but pretty sure it's still a violation to use yourself using himself to promote a business, isn't it? Be curious to see how that plays out.
this is so fucking sad. heat stroke a few weeks ago, hospitalized, took a turn for the worst, but looked like he was getting better. just so horrible
Mike Leach is going to get fired before the season starts because of his twitter antics lol...this one RE: Dan Wolken/USAToday Columnist)
Mike Leach should be fired and blackballed from the sport for locking a concussed player in a fucking shed in texas. His twitter antics are tertiary concerns to the shitty person that he is.
Tennessee's play by play caller from 1965-1999 passed away this evening. It's been almost 20 years and I still remember some of his calls. :(
