Utah is regarded as having one of the best DLs in the country and the UW OL is beat up right now so I agree BUT... Browning is a four year starter. He cannot make those mistakes at this point. Get rid of the damn ball and live to see another day. He's good for one of those brain dead moments at least once a game. If it wasn't for the herculean defensive effort, Utah blows them out last night.
Actually you know what? UCF is gonna go undefeated again and this time they'll be like "okay fine let's put them in" and they'll get beat 77-0 by Alabama and they'll use that as an excuse to never do that again.
I hope not, but the team they have right now is so much better talent wise than anyone else. They just screw around and demolish everyone.
Early college rankings are silly. There’s no good reason for LSU to not be #1 after thumping Miami and beating Auburn.
Alabama and Clemson are better, they just are haha. Fuck the rest though. We should be at least top five.
Alabama is fine at #1 because they’re Alabama and they have thumped every crappy team they’ve played. There’s nothing the 2018 version of Clemson has done yet to make me think they’re the second best team in the nation (even though they probably are). They’ll probably show it later, but for now the best they have is barely winning a road game vs the 5th best team in the SEC West
Better Week 4 rankings: 1) Alabama I guess 2) LSU 3) Ohio St 4) Oklahoma St 5) UGA 6) sure you can put Clemson here 7) Notre Dame beating Michigan is good, even though they otherwise look bad 8) Mississippi St 9) Oklahoma 10) Penn St
I can't stand Alabama and it's very easy to see that they are miles better than almost any other college football team....
Of course, but all they’ve done so far this year is show that they’re significantly better than teams projected to be below average NCAA teams. Which they definitely are. That is good, but is also less good than beating 2 preseason top 10 teams.
If early season rankings are meaningless how can you use preseason rankings as a plus in your argument?
Because Auburn and Miami are objectively better than Ole Miss and Louisville, at least to the extent that a team can be this early on If they pulled an FSU or a USC and just generally sucked after being ranked, that’d be different
While I see what you are saying it's about the eye test for me. Alabama is not only ranked as the number one team in college football, but they also just look like the best college team in football. I'm relatively sure they could beat like 5-6 current NFL teams.
You must not be paying attention to the NFL this year. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind they could beat the Buffalo Bills.
I laugh when people say Bama can beat a pro team. It’s like people don’t understand that the 11 guys on the worst NFL team are still professionals. Bama’s guys, as good as they are, aren’t all NFL roster worthy. And the ones that are NFL worthy are still in their development stages.
