if the Knicks aren't getting anyone they should trade 3 for those 20 picks and future picks tbh

Who is this blue check mark?

Never heard of him. His bio doesn't seem like he's much of a person who would provide news such as this.

Windhorst is calling this Celtics-Nets 2.0 when it comes to draft picks compensation,Lakers giving NOLA control of their picks for the next 5-7 years.

Says there’s more than just the picks but that is still yet to come out.

Nothing gives me more joy than the thought of the Knicks exiting this postseason with potentially nothing to show for it.

Hopefully the sonics have the top pick from the lakers in one of those seasons

Lakers should sign J.J. Redick. And that will make me sad.

  13. Is there some ridiculous draft swaps or something?

Did the Lakers just pull a Billy King?

  15. He’d be a great fit. Need a guard that can shoot, and one that can get a bucket since LBJ will play PG a lot.

Since the Sixers will be in luxury tax hell anyway, maybe they'll overpay and bring him back for another year.

I think JJ is signing with the nets because he lives in the area but I'm sure bill Simmons will help him find a place in la if he decides to go out west.

I mean, it seems as though the Lakers gave them a protected 2021, swap in 2023, and unprotected in 2024. Not sure that sounds insane to me besides the 2024 unprotected. Dunno, maybe there's more to it, but that's all I'm seeing. Guess we will find out soon enough.

Edit: Looks like that is it...

the lakers will be good that whole time with AD. he’s 26 lol. not exactly comparable to brooklyn trading for three dudes all in their mid to late 30s to make a short term play.

aka windhorst is as shitty as he has always been

  20. Apparently the big thing is a “pick deferment”

So if the Pelicans don’t like the pick one of the years they can say “okay we’ll take next years instead” up to seven years.

I’ve never seen anything like that in the NBA

Edit: I don’t think this is possible under the CBA?

  22. In Praise of Doris Burke, Basketball’s Best TV Analyst | The New Yorker
Last year, Burke signed a five-year contract with ESPN, but she radiates the sense that her time is not unlimited. “We still have a long way to go,” she told Sports Illustrated last season. “Because the reality is that I’m fifty-two years old. And how many fifty-five to sixty-year-old women do you see in sports broadcasting? How many? I see a lot of sixty-year-old men broadcasting.”

    This was a great article.

Keeping the player (Kuzma) only making $1.9 million next season was important. Even though a healthy Ingram is clearly the better overall player.
