Russ is a dick and has been for years as Bryan Curtis documented

He can play as hard as he wants, he's not getting out of the first round with this team unless he learns to shoot and or/not hog the ball

 

Who else besides PG should he be feeding the basketball?

Edit: This is not a rhetorical question btw, besides like PG and I guess Grant are there any exceptional shooters?

 

Maybe the guy you gave a 100m contract? (Cause ... that's who's gonna get blamed for Westbrook sucking again.)

 

He and PG have the same usage rate, he's second in the league in assists, and also everyone else on that team not named Paul George or Steven Adams sucks.

And again, no one actually cares how these dudes treat reporters except for when its a convenient cudgel to use against a player you already don't like for some reason.

Plus he's fucking dope

 

That's a better roster than Portland and we're winning this series.

POST GAME INTERVIEWS ARE STUPID

Adams makes a ton of money and gets 10 shots a game. Grant is nearly 40% from 3. Ferguson is at 37% from 3 and improved over the year.

Also, he shoots under 30% from 3 and still takes 5.6 per game. Unless he's playing with 4 Markelle Fultzs that's unacceptable

 

If Tramel or any other reporter was asking him ridiculous questions it would be one thing. But he's getting the same type of questions as literally every other star player in the league and he's the only one to be such a baby about it

Apparently manufacturing feuds with other players has gotten too boring for him

And for gods sake he plays in Oklahoma City, imagine how much of a snit he'd be in in a bigger market

 

pop has been shit on for his treatment of reporters forever and deservedly so

 

There are tons of great postgame interviews out there, to pretend they don't exist and give us many cool moments is very silly

 

Being short with a reporter after a bad loss is one thing, being an outright dick all the time to all of them is another. What Westbrook does is on such a ridiculous level even when the team wins! Like, it's your job to talk to reporters sometimes so they can write about it and fans can learn a little more and keep going to games.

 

I am a big Westbrook fan but this series was not a great look for him

 

Russ is obviously great. There's a missing piece though. He can't get past the one on one battles for the sake of the team. He's stuck competing with Dame, not the Blazers. Opponents are able to take advantage of that.

When he is able to use his motor and drive to create for others, he's unstoppable. But when you get him trying to outdo an individual on the floor, he plays right into the other team's hands.

 

I mean people thought this Thunder team could be the team to possibly challenge the warriors this year so I think the excuse that his teammates aren’t good enough doesn’t really work.

 

Russ is trash, makes everyone around him worse, and his blatant stat padding led to the least deserving MVP in my lifetime. Thunder should have traded him and kept Harden, they’d have a championship by now.

2/3 are guys that aren’t near the talent as he is but he just gets super emotionally invested in his matchups and goes out bad.

I won’t stand by and let you slander Derrick Rose’s 2010-11 MVP award like that.

 

It's blatantly untrue that Russ makes everyone around him worse. At his best, he's a great facilitator.

 

His team was first in the league at least. A sixth place team with an MVP is just insulting to the better players on better teams.

 

Derrick Rose wasn't that good, just had a really good team and made really flashy plays.
