    1. Giannis
    2a. Jokic
    2aa. Harden
    ;)

But everyone saying it's a 2-horse race at this point is just wrong we weren't supposed to be here

Giannis and Harden are on another level from everyone else

Jokic is having a great year and the Nuggets would be lost without him, but unfortunately he isn't having a historic season quite like the other two

I’m a lifelong Celtics fan, but they’ve been really annoying to watch this season. I’m still rooting for them, but I’ve found myself cheering the Magic all season too. Really hoping they make it in.

My All-NBA teams because I'm bored

1st: Harden, Steph, Durant, Giannis, Jokic
2nd: Lillard, Kyrie, George, Griffin, Embiid
3rd: Kemba, Beal, LeBron, Kawhi, Towns

Would love to bend the rules and get Gobert a spot but the frontcourts are too stacked

No, it’s a 2 man race easily at this point

This just goes to further prove that the NBA needs a clearly defined metric of what MVP means, and likely separating that between an OPOY award. The historic season of Westbrook was his main argument for winning MVP at the time, those in favor of Harden were trying to discredit that, saying Harden was more valuable to his team.

We were supposed to be a fringe playoff team while the Rockets were thought of as 2nd in the west behind GSW.

Plus Jokic has a much more fun game to watch, who doesn't want to see a big goofy oaf of a man doing pirouettes just lobbing the ball at the basket and they somehow go in.

I'm bored at work and just want to stir the shit. I'll die on my hill

As valuable as Jokic is to his team, I think Giannis is at least as valuable and is having a more impressive overall season (particularly on defense)

If Harden was putting up 30 a game I would probably rank Jokic higher, but 36 is just insane

  10. I want Trae to win it just because everyone tried to give it to Luka and trash the Hawks way too early and I like when Bill Simmons has to have some humble pie.

  11. I wonder if Embiid is playing tonight

He is supposed to be - the plan was to sit him on the road trip

    Just a friendly reminder

Every time Trae Young makes a stupid deep heat check 3 with lots of time on the clock, I love him a little more. I expect to be head over heels soon enough.

First team should be harden, steph, Giannis, George, and Jokic

Glad there’s an obvious center this year

We've come a long way from DeAndre Jordan's 13/10 with decent defense making the first team

I agree. Is it the guy who has the most impressive individual numbers? The best player on the best team? The one whose team is the worst when they're out of the lineup? The one with the highest scoring average? The one whose team surpasses expectations the most? I don't think adding an OPOY award would be a bad idea.

I know Jokic doesn't quite have the gaudiest numbers, but Denver has been incredibly impressive to me. Like you said, they didn't even make the postseason last year, but here they are battling for a top seed with pretty much the same roster and the same coach as last year. They've won a ton more games because their players got better, not because of some dramatic roster or front office change. And they're tenth in defensive rating, despite being thought of as a team that had to outscore their opponents to win. Maybe Jokic won't win MVP, but I think Malone deserves serious CotY consideration, if not the award.
