I mean the last Philly game was a challenge and tonight's game will be a challenge - I don't see the Bucks blowing out the Rockets at all

 

I think this is about where I’m at. I think Luka still gets it. I guess it depends what happens with the draft, but Trae + another top 10 pick is a fair enough haul for Doncic, from what we can tell now.

 

They’ll try everyone and they’ll leave him open to test his shooting early on too.

For the Rockets sake no Mirotic and Brogdon cus they kill houston all the fucking time.

 

They should do a co-ROY, like back in 1995 when Grant Hill and Jason Kidd shared the award. Luka will probably win it, just because that's been the narrative all season and he's been pretty incredible. Though, what Trae's done in the last few months is pretty ridiculous. He's at 25 ppg and 8.8 apg since the ASG. He and Luka have nearly identical shooting splits (except for free throws where Trae is 11% better), and he has a better assist-to-turnover ratio. Split it!

I'd be okay with co-ROY but yeah I'm sure it'll be Luka

 

Even as a Mavs fan I keep forgetting that Luka was putting up the stats he was putting up earlier this year while playing SG/SF/PF/PG based on whatever Rick Carlisle had in his drink that day before the DSJ trade and only then did he settle into PG.

But I like Trae and think he at least deserves some votes, if not consideration.

 

I love that the two rookies in this debate are the ones who have some of the least impressive physical measurements, and that they're still putting up numbers that would be spectacular regardless of their ages. I'd love it even more if my favorite team wasn't obsessed with drafting based solely on things like length, length, potential, and length.

 

I just think it's crazy how many good rookies are in this one class

 

I haven't gotten to watch ALL the rookies so I'm probably omitting a ton but Ayton, Bagley, Luka, JJJ, Trae, Sexton, Knox, Grayson Allen, Timelord, Brunson all look like serviceable-to-great players

 

DON'T FORGET WHITE DONTE

 

Trae would make more sense if he didn’t take 3/4 of the season to get hot, but he’s going to be incredible.

 

Trae, Collins, Huerter and two top ten picks has some potential to be a very nice core

 

I'd throw Wendell Carter Jr on there, too. As someone who has watched every single Magic game this season, I can say you made the right decision in omitting Mo Bamba. It's still too early to call him a bust, but I really wish Orlando had taken WCJ instead, if they had to have another big guy. It'd just be cool to have a rookie on the roster whose most notable trait is his nightly stat line, and not his wingspan.

 

Mitchell Robinson looking really good too. Still haven’t seen what Porter Jr. can do either

Oh I'm not saying I want drama off the court. I want it ON the court. I just want genuinely competitive basketball haha.

 

A lack of production from Bamba makes me so sad as a Texas fan

Everything i've seen he's on track for next year, this seasons success made it an easy decision not to try and rush him into it at all
