I'm rooting for the Lakers to not make the playoffs solely because I think it gives LeBron plenty of time to film Space Jam 2.

 

I don't think I can envision a world where LeBron doesn't make the playoffs (let alone loses in the first round) but...color me VERY intrigued with all this Lakers drama - most notably from their fans. Like, it was always chaos in Cleveland, but LA is taking it to a whole other level.

If the Lakers find themselves 1-2 games out of the playoffs going into the final week of the season, I expect a lot of SHADY stuff from NBA refs to get them in because the NBA cannot afford LeBron (let alone in LA) to not make the playoffs.

And yet there are those who're already declaring them the best team in the East. Ha. And yes, the referees missed that obvious foul on Embiid near the end, but blaming them for a loss is never a good look when your team is the one that shot more free throws, as Philly did last night. Boston also made more threes, shot ten percent better at the line, and had eight fewer turnovers. But sure, blame the referees.

The lakers have a coach who knows he’s gonna be fired, veterans who know they won’t be with the team next year, and a young core that was very publicly on a the trading block lol. Magic is an agent of chaos
