I like that non-Mavs fans starting narratives directed @ Suns and Kings fans has resulted in Suns and Kings fans having a weird grudge against the Mavs and Luka

 

Mainly pointing this out because the only people I see being like "imagine picking Ayton/Bagley over LUKA" are not Mavs fans and most Mavs fans know that they're all 3 great players

 

i don't watch a lot of ESPN / SportsCenter, but the number of times I've seen Luka compared to Ayton this year is like 20:1, so i'm sure Suns fans feel a bit of buyer's remorse seeing how great Luka has been - and that it was super obvious he was gonna be awesome (not like he came out of nowhere), and Dallas has been doing well, and the Suns have... well... not been doing well. i'm sure it all adds up lol

if the Suns get the #1 pick again, do they pick Zion? does Ayton play the same position or could they play together? if not, that might be souring Suns fans too. (like, "this awesome talent is gonna be there for us to take and we JUST took the same position last year #1, so now what do we do?")

Watched a replay of the All-Star draft. It was fun, but there was too much dead air between picks. I want some trash talking next year.

 

Yeah I guess so. I just feel like the Mavs aren't doing THAT well and the Suns have a good young corps to build around (as do the Kings). The Mavs have blown up their whole roster outside of Luka, feels like a weird thing to be jealous/resentful of, but I do get how it can be annoying hearing pundits going "LUKA" all the time when Ayton's putting up really solid numbers and Bagley's having a good start as well. Shit Trae Young is really good, I love everyone in the top 10 although I obviously love Luka the most. The top 5 played out exactly how it should have.
