None of them seem to be anything outside of "well, there's still some potential there?".

  4. i mean, the whole conceit of him being the centerpiece of the offer is that NOLA thinks he has all-NBA potential, so idk. i mean its AD

  5. gotta lmk when theres some good ass drama going on smh

I like Hart a lot. And I think I might like Kuzma the least lol.

  7. Last year Boston fans thought the same about Tatum. But instead of building him up they’re ready to cut bait? I get people saying it’s cold and a business, but the same people making fun of the Lakers willing to trade their guys are saying they’d do the same for a player that was “guaranteed to be fighting for the MVP for years” just a year ago. I just can’t believe it went from *that* level of hype and praise to Smart and Tatum being the center of a deal for AD.

  8. Time to catch our breath - we got the all star draft in 3 hours!

This is such a weird choice, given the Oladipo injury. I imagine at the very least Philly and Houston would've been interested, and they'll probably have better postseason runs. But, maybe Indiana just felt like a better fit for him.

  10. I don't think Boston fans have stopped thinking that (I haven't) or that it's cutting bait. It's trading a guy with an All-NBA ceiling for a guy who is already at or above that ceiling. It's not like they'd be just dumping him off. And really didn't most people know that was where this was always going? How many years have we had "Danny's long term goal is to trade for AD" stories? Idk i just really don't see it as giving up on Tatum when you'd be getting AD.

Now this is the galactic brain thinking I've been waiting for:

"Celtics don't even want AD. They just put the rumors out there to motivate Tatum and Brown."

Celtics/Lakers young guys (guys on rookie deals), ranked

    Tatum
    Ingram
    Brown
    Kuzma
    Rozier
    Hart
    Time Lord
    Mo Wagner
    Yabusele
    Lonzo

  20. I guess I'm just a little confused at the Simmons going from where he was on Tatum, to saying the Lakers fucked up so badly because it got out their young guys were on the trading block for AD, but then Boston's doing the exact same thing to the guy that just last year was basically being told "you're the future of the team" ... I don't like the Lakers, so I don't care that much about them, but I have a vested interest in Jayson Tatum and feel like he's been done cold in this whole deal and the hype was so insane and it went to "oh this was always the plan to get AD" so fast.

Ainge got lucky Irving wanted out of CLE. And he may lose him anyway. I always thought the Hayward contract was too big, and it looks worse now, and after what they did to IT ... for them to also have Brown, Smart, and Tatum all basically being told "uh you are gone in the offseason" ... I just think Ainge deserves to have a little shit talked on him and his handling of all this while everyone's dunking on the Lakers as well.

  21. I think the size of his check when the next contract comes is gonna make up for it. lol.

Took a shot to do what his client(s?) wanted and it didn't work out. I dunno, I can't hate on that.

That's fair. I don't disagree with that. Danny has said he has sat down and talked with the young kids and from all their answers, they don't seem to spooked, so who knows what's going on inside the building, but yeah if you're gonna say the lakers are dumb for spooking Kuzma and Lonza you gotta keep that energy for Danny. That's fair.

    Also Bill Simmons sucks.

  24. Yeah again its really not fair to look at what simmons says and then talk about it as if that's what "boston fans" think. (forgive me for this but i just read that thrice thread and) its like judging this site based off that thrice thread.

From my perspective the only way the Lakers fucked up was not realizing the Pelis were never going to deal with them, of course they're going to give everything for AD, just like the Celtics would...it's AD. And I really don't think it shifted that fast. Again there have been years of stories about Ainge's long term plan has been to trade for AD. Forgive fans for not always having that in the front of their mind while watching their exciting young players but...its always been in the back of anyone who's been paying attention's mind, I think.

Shitting on Ainge is fair, especially for IT, but like, look at Jerry West and Blake. Every GM would stab every player in the back given the right (or wrong) opportunity. It's not a good thing and they all deserve to be shit talked for it somewhat but I don't think Ainge is *that* much of an outlier on that front.

  25. Also, even if Kyrie leaves, that trade isn't a huge loss. They traded Collin Sexton, Isiah's corpse and Jae Crowder for two years of Kyrie...that's fine. Not great, but definitely not a disaster
