I'm so excited about Fultz! Partly because they did nothing but deal Elfrid Payton for a 2nd round pick last year, partly because he could be something good, and partly because they didn't really give up anything of value. Honestly, I was really expecting it to cost Terrence Ross and filler, so this is excellent. This is a great situation for him, and if he still busts, well they didn't really give up a ton.

It's not theirs, but OKC's 2020 pick, so it'll probably be a late pick. It's also top-20 protected, and it becomes 2nd round picks if it doesn't convey in 2020. It's never ideal to give up a 1st, obviously, but it could've been worse I think. Simmons wasn't going to be back, and worst-case scenario Fultz is out of the league in a few years, which is probably what would've happened to the players they'd pick if they retained those assets.

 

Also, it only conveys if it’s 21-30. Otherwise 2 seconds.

 

Knicks should have tried to move Vonleh for literally anything, oh well
