Damn the sixers are scary now

  4. They still have zero bench but their starting five is the best in the east

Gotta think Fultz will be traded for bench pieces

Mike Scott was a nice get for them as well

  7. You’d think so

  8. They might just wait for the buyout market now. Anyone they snag from there is pretty much guaranteed to get good minutes off the bench.

Despite what Woj is saying, it would not surprise me if this is a bit of a hedge on Butler leaving... Harris will get a lot this offseason but it won't be a max

Lol yeah he would immediately become the sixth man

Current 10 man rotation is Simmons/Redick/Butler/Harris/Embiid... with your bench being McConnell (can't shoot), Korkmaz (can't defend), Boban (no stamina), Jonah Bolden (can't stop fouling) and Mike Scott (misses bad shots and screams "What is wrong with me today?")

Current players on the Sixers who have signed/options for next season

Embiid, Simmons, Fultz, Jonah Bolden, Zhaire Smith, Shake Milton

Elton's gonna have a lot to do this offseason

As a Sixers fan I feel like were 100% going all in on this season. Brand's gonna have to open those books this offseason to make all the future 1sts worth it.

But I'm here for it....lets fucking go!

Damn, Sixers. Nice move for them. I wish Tobi and Bobi were locked up so it would be reasonable to get them on It's Always Sunny somehow.

So much to unpack here. I love that the trade occurred right after Philly lost at home to Toronto and Tobias hit a game winning shot. I also love that Boban is still on the same team as Tobias. Their friendship makes me happy. As for the actual nuts and bolts, it feels like one of those trades that's really good for both sides. The Clippers basically punted on the rest of the season, but got some nice picks for a guy who probably wasn't going to be back next year. Chandler and Muscala are also expiring, so they preserve their cap space to chase really big fish. Or, package all of those picks and maybe SGA for a certain eyebrow. Philly is scary, provided they can all play together.

Though, their bench situation is not great. Shamet's emergence in the wake of the Butler trade had mitigated some of the damage that trade did to their bench, but now he's gone. You have to think they're going to try and trade Fultz for some help in that regard. Someone like Wes Mathews or Terrence Ross would be perfect, especially since they're both expiring contracts. Though as a Magic fan, I'd like to see them take Evan Fournier instead. He's not an expiring, but he's a decent scorer and I think he'd function much better as a fourth or fifth option. Re-signing all of their guys is a nice dream, but I don't think it's going to happen. Having Fournier as your 4th option (assuming Butler or Harris is retained) isn't a bad spot to be in.
