The idea that Erdogan would have Enes Kanter, NBA player, murdered on British soil seems....extremely unlikely to me. If he were willing and able to do things like that, Gulen (Erdogan's rival that Kanter supports) would have been killed 5 years ago when his alliance with Erdogan broke down. I think media reporting on Kanter as if he was a civil rights warrior is pretty disingenuous seeing that Gulen was a supporter of Erdogan for years before their split, working together to undermine the secular establishment that had been in place for decades. Their differences are based on power struggle politics, not ideological differences.

Anyway, obviously it is less bad to support an imperfect dissident than active dictators but it's worth keeping in mind that Gulen's Turkey would not be pretty either. And it is very stupid and bad for media to report on Kanter's "fears" of being murdered in London as if that is something that has any chance of happening

 

Fuck D Rose I would just as soon never read his name again in my life unless he's going to prison

Rose just seems like an all around great guy

 

Maybe we'll find out later that Rose doesn't understand what suggesting someone kill themselves actually means?

He’s raised his value enough (on the court) that if Minny wants to move on from him that they shouldn’t have an issue finding a team to take him
