Are LeBron’s comments about AD tampering? Can he be fined? Remember last year when Magic was fined for saying Giannis was awesome and gonna be MVP some day lol or is it different for a player to make a comment like that?

 

I wouldn't be surprised if they did. Though, LeBron also said "it'd be great" to play with Carmelo in LA, and he's technically still under contract, too.

I hope Davis stays in New Orleans. I'm tired of the Lakers acting like it's their right to land all of these players, just because they're in LA. Of course, the league would probably prefer the larger market teams get bigger names because it helps their bottom line.


The Nets are now only a game a half back of Orlando for the last Playoff spot! It'd be sad if the Magic missed out yet again, but I fully expect them to do just that. They won't win quite enough to get in, but they'll also fail to get a higher draft pick, because that's what they do. I suppose as long as they get a shot at Ja Morant or Darius Garland, it'll be fine.

 

I could be wrong, but I don't think it's considered tampering if a player says it...because a player can't really do anything about it. Whereas a GM/Front office member can actually make it happen. So if they say something, I believe that is more tampering.

Again, I could be completely wrong, but this is 100% not the first time LeBron has talked about playing with other players or wanting to team up with other guys. He did this in Cleveland all the time.

That's interesting. Of course players can talk to each other about whatever they want in private, but I'm surprised that saying something like that in such a public fashion is acceptable.

It really would. I don't want to see him in Boston either, but I think that might be preferable to the Lakers.

 

For them to punish players for tampering would be to admit star players are now equal members of the personnel department and the last thing they want is to give players even more power.
