Haha I know. I'm just envisioning those two together. It'd be unreal. He doesn't deserve to be wasted on Cleveland.

I'm curious what sort of offers they can get for Evan. He's a decent player, but like many of the guys on the Magic he's also miscast into a bigger role because of the dearth of talent on the roster. His contract is bad, but not horrible. I wouldn't be surprised if they trade Ross, since he's also playing really well right now.

I'm torn on whether tanking is the best approach at this point. Partly because the lottery reform means the worst record no longer has the best shot at the first pick, and also because I'm not sure the best players in next year's draft would be the best fit with Orlando. They need a point guard more than anything, and a shooting guard after that. Who knows if any of Gordon, Isaac, or Bamba turns into a star, but they also need to be given opportunities to grow. They're in such a weird spot, having been really bad for a while but with little to show for it in terms of prospects.

If I'm the Lakers, I'm going all-in on Beal.

Wall is owed the following salary after this season: $38 million, $41 million, $44 million, and $47 million. These new supermax contracts are going to end up being a huge problem for teams in a couple of years.

EDIT: Wall also has a 15% trade kicker on his contract. So, those numbers grow to $43.7, $47, $50, and $54 million if someone trades for him.

  11. I’d trade Brogdon and parts for Beal

Lottery protected probably. I can't imagine a top 25 protected or whatever being of interest.

  14. It’d be fun watching Beal on the Bucks.

I want that dude to be on a good team so bad. He’s awesome to watch

They'd probably have to trade two of Eric Gordon, Brandon Knight, and PJ Tucker to match. Capela would work, too, but I suspect he's untouchable at this point. I'm not sure Houston is any better after that, though Ariza is almost sure to be bought out, and maybe he'd go back to Houston?

Kelly Oubre to the Kings please and thank you, would be fuckin ecstatic to get Justin Jackson out of the rotation forever. Would put our young core in a real nice spot

    Just a friendly reminder

Kelly Oubre on the Kings would make them substantially less likeable but I understand the desire from a basketball standpoint.

    He's a goddamn punk though.

Maybe i'm still working the boogie fandom residue out of my system but I kind of want a hot head on this team haha, as long as they aren't the leader of the team I feel like its fine in doses

how many teams have six trillion dollars in cap space to cover Wall's contract the next decade?

The worst part for any team willing to trade for him is that his extension doesn't kick in until next year, so they'd only be matching his $19 million salary for this year, and not the $38 million for next year. This is also the best part for Washington, should they find someone foolish enough to want John Wall.
