    Nope. Supporter

I used to think we undoubtedly came out on top of that trade, but everything was kind of a wash by the end (and we don't have any of those players on the team anymore), but we did get Jamal Murray out of the pick swap so yes we won

Just isn’t gonna fit anywhere with the role he’s wanting in this current NBA and won’t realize that at all....

Props to Morey moving on this quickly

Maybe this season can still be salvaged

It can be if they move quick to get some players in and stack up some wins.

What they need is to bring in solid two-way players who are comfortable with low usage. You know, players like...

    ...Trevor Ariza.

Looks like it may be happening. He’s been getting DNP-Personal Reasons the past two or three games I believe.

  7. Can't be true! I was told he was perfect for this Rocket's team and their window didn't close last year with brick-after-brick being thrown up! :scream:

I'm curious what his current relationship is with the Rox. For instance, was there any bad blood for letting him walk? Or was there always this understanding that he could be brought into the fold?

Because there are a lot of teams, like the 76ers, that could really use him. We will see.

Gary Clark needs to continue to get minutes

If/when he sputters out I could see looking at Ariza or hopefully someone younger

He wanted to get paid, it was always known when the season ended and they told him pretty much "this is what we can offer you, if you find a better offer then go for it" and he took the Suns offer. At least that is what I've gathered/been told.

Clark will get the minutes but Rockets are thin currently at the wing and it would be great to get Trev or someone along those lines.

Between the minutes split between Ennis/Clark I just don’t get adding Ariza back unless they start looking like last years team again

The roster needs the youth injection

That much, I assumed. But my point is that, there was no good reason for the Rox not to pay him. As in, there was no salary cap impediment. He obviously knows that. And looking at what they did with the money, that has only proven to be true. None of their signings are precluded by signing Ariza. It was just the owner's unwillingness to pay luxury tax that prevented them for paying him what he was worth on the open market.

In that case, if I were him, I'd be pretty miffed that they felt I wasn't worth paying for one year. But his connections there obviously run deep. And he got paid in the end, so maybe that heals any wound that might have been inflicted.

    Bazemore would’ve been cool

So, your argument is that the Rox, a team that last year was a game away from the NBA Finals, don't have use for Ariza because those minutes are best used on a rookie shooting 29% from 3?

    Weird.

Yep, at this point I do agree they probably should've just done it cus he definitely meant more to them than just on the court....

When they signed CP3, they put all of their chips in on a super small window for a championship. Because that contract is going to get prohibitive in short order.

Spare no expense! Bring back Ariza. Run it back, but this time with Ennis/Ariza in place of Ariza and an injured LMAM.

Yeppp, our owner is currently getting involved in a big casino merger that's gonna leave no excuse to not go over deep into the tax if he wants to win. Rockets are gonna do some big trade soon I feel, looking at the Wizards for a blow it up situation soon.... knowing us though we will bring in Nick Young or Anthony Morrow lmao.

That's interesting about Tilman . I hope it turns out to be the case.

So do I..... Being at game 7 last year was the worst feeling ever. Game 5 in the final seconds being the 2nd one....

Clark is a nice prospect but he’ll never be good enough to fill the Ariza-sized hole this season by himself

Yeah, you’re asking an Undrafted rookie to do a lot if you want him to be that guy especially in a win now situation.
