I've always thought that dude was awful.

 

100%. He'll probably hit 33k this season or a hair under. After that, he could pass Kareem in about 3 seasons if he averages about 25ppg (and that's assuming he won't play every game in those three seasons).

 

If his health is good enough, I think LeBron plays at least 5 seasons after this. He wants to play with his son, who, if they change the rules, can make it into the league for the 2023-24 season. He'll turn 39 in that season.

I'm very curious to see what the west looks like a month from now. Houston and Utah were obviously high in most preseason predictions. San Antonio and New Orleans are playoff worthy too. Memphis, the Clippers and Sacramento are all overperforming right now. Of those two, I'd probably pick the Clippers and Sacramento to fall out (even though they are really fun to watch this year).

 

The magic are intriguing but idk I’m not sold yet. They started last year 8-4 before they started stacking L’s

I remember there was a brief time during his last year in Detroit where some people actually believed he'd land a max contract, or something close to it. The idea still blows my mind. LA has overpaid for him (twice), but at least they've been short deals.

my problem with "i'm never going to change who i am" type statements is that it obviously would be an improvement in many of these situations if the person would reflect a bit and make a change.
