    Just a friendly reminder

I'm excited for a hard fought, competitive Eastern Conference this year. The Celtics, Raptors, Sixers, Pacers, and Bucks are all going to be great.

It'll make the Raps Conference Final win even sweeter.

    this is wild.

Jeff Stotts has rated the Spurs medical staff as #1 overall in fewest total games lost over the last 13 years. They apparently average 102 total games lost per year.

They have already lost 82 with Murray before season starts. Walker and White will miss significant time, too.

I can’t wait for Rox fans to be clamoring for Ariza as a buyout candidate come the end of the season lol

I mean, why not? The Suns aren’t gonna be good. They won’t be anywhere close to a playoff spot come time for the buyout market.

And Ariza is on a one-year deal with a skillset that is scarce and a huge benefit to any playoff team.

I would say it would be a shock if he isn’t bought out.

Brought him there for a reason it seems like. Lots of discussion about him having a big role there but if they aren’t any better than last year then maybe the buy him out.

If he were to find his way back here I wouldn’t mind it, he’s a smart player and a good locker room guy.

  22. I want Celtics inner drama all year more than I want anything. It's kinda all I'm asking the basketball gods for this year.

He never made sense on the team though. They have a glut of young wings and virtually no shot at being any good.

His purpose, it would seem, is to help mentor those young guys. And that’s something he is doing now and can do throughout the first half of the season.

But they will be bad. And at that point, it makes more sense to play Jackson, Bridges, Reed, etc to see what you have. Ariza was a key cog on the second best team in the nba last year, no way is he accepting a diminished role like that when his talents could be put to use on a good time.

Personally, I don’t doubt that this was negotiated ahead of time. He knows he will be bought out of the circumstances play out and he knows what he has to give up.

Obviously, I could be wrong. It’s a rather annoying habit I can’t seem to shake. But I can’t see any benefit to either side by having him there sitting on the bench for the last month or so of the season. It just makes too much sense for him to be bought out.
