V.happy, that's who I wanted them to get a 2nd rounder for. Real chance he makes the team, no idea how he didn't get drafted.

I have officially convinced myself that Darius Garland is a first-ballot Hall of Famer and you cannot convince me otherwise.

The first contact Rui Hachimura had with the Wizards was when they drafted him. No workouts, no interviews, nothing. Seems like a solid strategy on their part, and not at all a recipe for disaster. Too bad they can't roll the money they're saving from not paying anyone to general manage them into their cap space. But, at least they're not Phoenix.

The picks aren't really prime 2nd rounders at all. Whether KPJ works out or not, it's not a bad deal at all.

Kevin Porter at 30 is an absolute steal. That's a good pickup.

Really excited that the Lakers got Taylor Horton Tucker. That guy has one of the weirdest bodies ever. 6'4" height with a a 7'1" wingspan. It's like he can tie his shoes without bending over hahaha.

Anyway, who's got some reactions? Who do you think had the best draft? And the worst?

    For me:

Best: Pelicans (even though I wasn't the biggest fan of the pick of Jackson Hayes)
Worst: Suns (I don't know wtf they were doing). Chauncey Billups.

Drafts I liked: Grizzlies, Hornets, Celtics, Cleveland, Blazers, Nuggets, Lakers, Detroit, and Golden State.

Drafts I didn't like: Suns, Miami, and Washington.

I'm not either but I don't think there's a more perfect fit for him than the Pelicans

I think Atlanta was a much better fit. Running pick and rolls with Trae Young would have been fantastic. And that team is built with a lot of shooters already.

I also think drafting rim running bigs in the top 10 is a monumentally terrible value proposition.

I agree with both of those. Zion is obviously the big get for New Orleans, but Griffin did a great job with their other picks. Hayes was more of a need than best player pick. I really like Alexander-Walker (though it's going to be hard for me to watch him knowing that Orlando passed), and they've got a ton of other assets with which to work. Eleven(!) second rounders in the next four years, and tons of cap space this summer after moving Hill.

Honorable mention goes to Atlanta. Hunter may not have as high a ceiling as some of the other guys, but he's a great fit with that roster. Every team needs glue guys. Reddish on the other hand has more boom/bust potential than almost anyone in the draft, but he's definitely worth the risk at 10. And they got Bruno Fernando to complement Collins.

Phoenix...yikes. They dumped Warren to clear space, presumably to chase someone like Russell. Then they proceeded to trade out of the perfect spot to draft Coby White, reached for a guy in Cam Johnson that duplicates players they already have (and who has injury concerns), and then added Saric and Baynes. They actually have less cap space now than they did before the draft, and they somehow managed to avoid filling an absolutely glaring hole at PG despite being in perfect position to get one of the best in the draft.

Yeah, I agree with both of these sentiments, especially the latter. You should only draft bigs in the top 10 if they're generational talents like Zion and Anthony Davis.

Yeah don't really care about the 2nd round picks. Would be interesting to se the % of second round picks in the last few years that are high quality starters. I mean there's future HOFer Cedi Osman but after that like league she than 20%
