Horford would be an awful fit on the Sixers

He just went to Starbucks with Nick Van Exel.
I like Horford, but $25 million for the 37 year old version is rough.

Oh, how I wonder the Nets came to that realization...................

That is my number one hope for this season. I would even prefer seeing CP3 and Harden hanging out State Farm style in real life to seeing the Lakers succeed.

But will Russell sit idly by while the Nets court other players they'd presumably prefer over him?

If the Warriors were healthy and in tact, I would say there is no way the Lakers could compete with them, regardless of how they fill out the rest of their roster.

I think Lakers will ultimately be in the 3-5 range in the West IF LeBron/AD can stay healthy. LeBron is kind of entering unprecedented territory in the sense where he's entering his 17th year at age 35 with a billion minutes played coming off an injury-plagued season. Not to mention, historically speaking, it takes about a year for a LeBron 'super team' to gel/mesh/learn how to play together. Yes, the Heat and Cavs went to the Finals their first year together, but the first few months were VERY rocky (Cavs started 19-20; Heat started 10-11 I think). That said, it was easier to recover from a slow start in the East. The West? I don't know. Given the state of the Warriors and the Rockets, they probably can afford a slow start.

I just don't know how the Lakers are going to fill out the rest of their roster. I don't see them getting a third star and whether they do or not, they will still have plenty of significant question marks.

I'm sure it's going to be WILD.

From all the information I've gathered, it seems like the Lakers can definitely achieve very close to the max slot for a free agent. My guess is Jimmy Butler is the guy they're looking at most after Kawhi (who I think is going to the Clippers). I know there's a bunch of guys in here who don't like the Lakers, but I do, so I'm excited about this season. This is the first time in almost 8 years that I've been excited. Feels nice.
