That bothered me so much lol at least Russillo called him out on it. I understood his point about the Pelicans being in a good place with the picks and stuff but... to ignore that Duncan came into a team with another Hall of Famer and some glue guys who literally helped win that franchise a title is just stupid.

 

RJ Barrett is the first human of relevance in the past 20 years who said they wanted to play for New York and the Knicks are all like 'nah'

 

Imagine if NY actually takes Garland at 3, and Barrett drops to the Pelicans.

 

I would love Garland on the bulls, also would not love jom boylan being his coach

 

if the Bucks don't trade the pick with Snell I hope we draft Carsen Edwards

What's the Celtics cap situation if Kyrie leaves and Horford restructures to a team friendly contract? Can they potentially sign a free agent to a max contract?

 

I'd have to imagine New Orleans keeps 4 if Barrett is still on the board, though stranger things have happened. An interesting wrinkle is that if the Lakers want to have enough space to sign a third max player when free agency starts, they have to delay the completion of the AD trade until late July. Doing that would prevent the rookie drafted at 4 from joining the Pelicans until then, so they wouldn't be able to play for NO in summer league.

As things stand now, not quite. The most cap space they could clear would be $27 million, but in order to reach that number they would need to renounce the rights to all of their free agents (including Horford), at which point they can no longer go over the cap to re-sign them.

 

this is the first time i’ve actually been bummed about the bledsoe deal. fuck. not that i think we’d have the cap space for him, but if the bucks got DLo, fuck man
