Korver to Philly talks stopped because the Cavs asked for a first round pick.

I don't think that's crazy. I'd bet by the trade deadline the Cavs could get a 1st rounder for Korver from a team that is playoff bound and desperate for 3-point shooting (LAKERS???). A) Korver has 2 years left on his deal with the final year being nonguaranteed B) He's one of the best 3-point shooters of all time and despite his age can still move very well, get himself open, shoot with little room and C) the first round pick would likely be in the 20s anyway. So not that big of a deal for a team that is in championship mode.

This is an extremely dumb take, just cause he didn't use an exception doesn't mean someone should get fired and on top of that it was still a great trade and they replaced him on the cheap
