If you can, I'd suggest getting to the airport where the Raptors plane arrives...When the Cavs won the finals I was out downtown Cleveland the night of the win until like 4 a.m...then woke up and immediately drove to the airport and there was no less than 10K people awaiting the team plane to arrive.

    It was nuts.

    Soak it all in.

Hate to see injuries, especially when they are as severe as Klay and Durant, but before this season the Warriors have had great injury luck especially considering all the extra playoff miles those guys have. I feel like it was a matter of time before something happened.

I don’t see this affecting what they can get in free agency, and I hope they both are able to fully recover. The league is better when those two are at full strength, no matter where they end up

I did not go to the airport when the Mavs returned from Miami which is also because I have no idea which airport in Dallas it would've gone to but I was at my friend's loft in Deep Ellum during Game 6 and I had to stay the night because I could not drive out of the city with all the craziness going on

    I miss the atmosphere

Wait until the parade. Eagles Super Bowl parade was one of the best days of my life.

Yeah, both the night they actually won and the airport the next morning were both surreal experiences. I just remember running down East 9th Street and then Prospect shirtless high fiving literally thousands of people. My wife still to this day just talks about me bolting away from our group and running wild.

We had to walk about 40 blocks away from downtown just to finally get into a bar - probably 90 minutes after the game ended. Every bar within a mile radius of the center of downtown Cleveland was A) out of alcohol and B) jam packed to the point where there was no possible way of entering in. No cell service so you couldn't contact anyone.

The airport was mad nuts...people were parking on the side of the freeway and running to the airport to avoid traffic jams. There was a stage set up outside and tons of big screen TVs replaying the final minutes over and over again. Cavs dance team and broadcast crew were live. The players walked out of the plane one by one to just enormous eruptions. We actually brought our son - who was only 22 months old at the time - to the airport. Although he'll never remember it, I wanted to make sure that he could say for the rest of his life that he experienced at least part of the championship celebration.

  9. parades are fun. its cool how from 2013-2018, boston had 4 championship parades, but while I was there, from 2014-MAY 2018 (NOT october) they only had 2, and neither of them were the team i like. very fun! point is though the patriots parades were very fun despite me not liking the patriots at all

And Orlando beat them! One game, but I'll take what I can get at this point.

The summer is going to be very interesting, especially with the Golden State injuries.

I like them more than the regular set, except for the use of "North" on the front. They'd be better if they replaced it with "Toronto". I'm just not a fan of the whole "we the north" bit, especially when you consider both Portland and Minneapolis are located farther north.

Tough night for Klay. I guess we're going to have to wait to see if this hampers the Tune Squad or Monstars next year.

That's amazing. I'd love for my kids to get to have experiences like that with me but they'll probably all be with their mom who's a Spurs fan hahaha

All those years without having to deal with major injuries and now they happen at the absolute worst time imaginable. NBA is gonna be WEIRD next year.

Parade is Monday at 10am, going right outside my office so I'm already pretty excited for that.

Also, you guys have to check out some of the footage from last night. The entire core was packed with people and while I packed it in at 3am, I'm hearing that it was basically like that until the sun came up.

still dont think AD puts lakers over the top tbh. They are gonna have to give up a bit to get him.

with the warriors out of the picture, i expect this summer to get even crazier with everyone trying to make their move.

if we thought the west was a blood bath this year, i can't wait for next season.

Can the Warriors apply for Hardship relief if they re-sign Klay and KD Opts in?

IF KD picks up his option and the Warriors rule him out for the entire season, they can apply for the Disabled Player Exception which would allow the Warriors to sign a player up to the non taxpayer MLE which would not count against their cap.

Technically, any team who signs KD can do that...but again, they'd have to rule him out for the entire season. It's possible a team may want to not rule KD out in the event he can rehab and return in time for the 2020 playoffs.

AD doesn’t put the Lakers over the top, but trading for him still leaves them with another max slot I believe. So AD + like, Jimmy or someone might put them over the top

Have to factor in the LeBron Learning Curve/Growing Pains too if the Lakers get AD + another star. The 2010-2011 Heat and 2014-2015 Cavs both got off to real slow starts. Obviously, they were able to recover and make it to the Finals but they could afford a slow start in the East. Not so sure in the West they'll be able to recover from a real slow start.

That said, Lakers would be prohibitive favorites if they land AD and another near max player.
