HARD pass.

 

To be fair, the only teams that’s really “actively tanking” right now is Atlanta.

Sure, a few other teams are gonna be mad, but that’s just poor roster construction / bad contracts. Or, in the Knicks case all of the above along with a serious injury to their best player.

All the other teams at the bottom last year made moves and spent money. In some cases considerable money.

Now, a few teams that get off to a rocky start might change course, but this isn’t like last year where several teams had the stated goal of sucking.

 

Please let the Kings suck.

 

I'm good with the Love deal. If you have an All-Star caliber player wanting to stay with your team when the best player in the league leaves, you can't be mad. You have to love LeBron, but it's nice to run more of a system. I'm not sure on Lue yet, but I hope we see some improvements when he gets a little more freedom to construct a system with the players we have.

 

Maybe Kawhi was right regarding the handling of injuries there....

Also, Danny Leroux just reminded me that Gorgui Dieng has like 3 years and 48 million left on his current contract.

He is the fourth highest paid player on that team.

RJ is the only guy in next year’s class who I would consider can’t miss, but after him I really like Sekou Doumbouya and Bol Bol. Because if a guy with the same first name and last name is available to draft, you draft that man.

Bol bol definitely has embiid type of upside, I haven't looked deep enough into that 2019 class yet though.
