Ugh every time I even start to think "Hey maybe I should get back into hockey" I see some dumb post like this

 

ah yes i love the "hockey players are the only real/strongest athletes" takes

 

They need to shorten the season or this is gonna be how teams handle all players in the future.

 

I just remembered that the nets swept the Knicks in the 04' playoffs

Devils advocate: because the NBA Finals are on vs football not being around, MLB being in the 2nd month of the 93 month long regular season so basketball is the only other main sport on right now that has people’s attention

Reality: *uncomfortable silence* yeah... we know why.

 

What if they added a Cup competition after they shortened the season?!!???! (effectively a net gain of games I bet though)

 

It would be truly wild if American sports started doing single elimination cups concurrent with the regular season
