Masai's plans for Kawhi in order from most to least desirable.

1.) Convince him to re-sign and stay. 99% unlikely to, but stranger things have happened.

2.) Sign-and-trade to the Lakers. This works out best for both parties. Kawhi makes more money than he would signing with the Lakers as a Free Agent, gets to go to the Lakers, and Toronto maximizes his value.

3.) Trade during the season. Worse return and unless the Lakers are really going for the Championship this season, unlikely to happen.

4.) Just shed his cap hit and say fuck it. Plz no.

 

He, Vlade, Peja and Bogdan can do Serb stuff together, he's basically playing in Europe. If only there was another Balkan guy we coulda got this summer that filled a position of need and was also a generational talent hmm a boy can dream

Good thing then that was a once every few years cold snap, and we still have super hot summers and pretty nice spring and fall too. If he assumes that one weekend is representative of Toronto weather, he'll be pleasantly surprised!
