Also Hayes finally rose into the lottery in most mocks, nice

It depends on how close to playoff-ready they think the rest of their roster is. I could also see them keeping 6, and going for either Garland or Coby White instead.

If there’s a team who should trade for Conley, it’s 100% the Jazz.

Garland is 4 for me and I don't think it's particularly close, after him it's mostly good to okay followed by a bunch above average. I wish olshey traded 25, I don't think there will be talent like Simons around that late this time.

hunter might be the second best prospect in the draft. like, legit.

He's definitely gonna be a laker, also people need to stop comparing him to kawhi.

all comps are stupid for all players, but that’s certainly the mold/type of game he has

Agreed. They need another scorer, and he'd fit right in with his defense, too. I also think Tobias Harris would be a great fit there, but when was the last time a high-profile free agent chose Utah? Maybe if the Jazz trade for Boban.
The funny thing about player comparisons is you almost always see white players compared to other white players, even if their games actually aren't similar.

Boban is also a free agent

Derrick favors has definitely thought he would be traded every year for like 5yrs

You're right! Well, Utah doesn't even need to trade for him, then.

I didn't even hear that comparison today, so I looked up their college numbers and they're very similar. Kawhi was a better rebounder in college, but PPG were both around 15 and Hunter has way better FG and 3PG percentages.

Outside of Durant, the 'superstars' left in the NBA playoffs were drafted outside of the Top 5:

    Dame: 6
    CJ: 10
    Steph: 7
    Klay: 11
    Draymond: 35
    Kawhi: 15
    Lowry: 24
    Giannis: 15
    Middleton: 39

Don't need the No. 1 pick to be successful. Need good scouts/Front Office (or Draymond to call you crying from a parking lot).

Yeah, I don't think Garland is an option for Cleveland either, but I'm just wondering if he's the automatic No. 4 pick here or not. Because I'm seeing some mocks that are all over the place with Culver, Hunter, Cam and Garland.

I think I prefer Hunter the most at No. 5. Cam had pretty bad numbers at Duke, but I'm wondering how much of that was because he was kind of the third guy behind Zion and RJ. Regardless, I'm not too high on him. I'm a little intrigued with Culver, but he shit the bed on the biggest stage (whereas Hunter shined) and that's really the only game I ever watched him play. So...I don't have much of a feel for it, which is why I was asking.

Also, every summer, pre-draft, we always see guys slide up or down for various reasons, so should be an interesting six weeks.

Bad Front Office/Ownership leads to teams being in the lottery for prolonged periods of time.

Yeah. I'd prefer Hunter, but I wouldn't be mad if we got Culver. I just want to see defense. haha

I highly doubt the Lakers keep their pick. My guess is Suns or Bulls made the promise.
