There is someone for everybody. In no order cause I’m not telling y’all who I like more than who: Fournette Gurley Cook Bell DJ Kamara Hunt Barkley Zeke McCoy Freeman Henry That’s 12 different guys who could certainly put up at least 1000 yards and 6-7 TD, and probably will exceed that, if they stay healthy.
Oh nah I wouldn’t take Fournette 1st OVR I def give him a boost over RB with comparable prestige, but there’s for sure a few guys clearly above him. Right now RB is such a stacked position in the NFL, even being rated a top 10 RB is really tough, lot of excellent runners to compete with
I definitely put Gordon below at least 9 of those guys And he STILL could be a RB1 by most fantasy years’ standards This year is crazy lol. Shit, Hyde could ball out in Cleveland too.
Not really. He's like, by far their best back haha. Duke is a great gadget but he's more of a receiver than RB, and it's gonna become clear REAL quick that Hyde owns him in both power and inside zone runs
To me that's like saying Fournette was in a time share last year because of Ivory, Yeldon, and Grant. All four were effective with their carries but come on, none of them realistically was pushing Fournette for his job, he still got 1k yards and 8 TD despite 6-7 weeks hurt. Haha, your big fast slasher is gonna be your lead back. Dont' care how effective your other backs are, that's just how it works. Your team is probably soft and gets steamrolled by good defenses if you don't have that. Kamara / Ingram is like the only exception to that rule, and well the Saints pass like crazy especially to their RBs so it actually does make sense.
That is an absurd comparison lol. Carlos Hyde was the one and only back in San Francisco and he never topped 1,000 yards. Now that he has competition he's just going to magically improve???
He was only about 60 yards off of Fournette and had the same number of touchdowns last year. And he missed 12 games between the two prior years. Also, yes, competition does spur improvement. Players competing with each other are learning from each other's mistakes.
Yeah they have already said they are a committee in Cleveland tho. Hyde is injury prone and now has two decent backs as competition and their offense is balanced AND they've said they're gonna have all of three of them involved haha
To me all this says is one good RB is competing with two decent backs haha. I think the good back will win and earn the team's trust in running situations. He played 16 games last year so i'm gonna put a moratorium on calling him injury prone haha.
Hyde is a just good back that people forget is good because he's only been on terrible teams so far. Obviously I like Fournette more haha, he's way faster and has great open field moves to go WITH the smashmouth power running. I think he'll be a solid RB2 with potential to hit low end RB1.
