I had all the confidence that the Ducks would get over this hump tonight. Oilers played a great, hard-fought series and they'll be around for many years to come. Excited to get into this series against the Preds. Looking forward to rematching the Preds so soon after last season

 

Cannot stand Pittsburgh's fanbase but that was a good series. Can't argue they didn't earn that win with how they closed out the game.

Guy had 40 career games before the playoffs. The Penguins just always seem to find these random guys who become first line players in a magical playoff run.

 

...except he was producing at a .825 point per game pace over those 40 games while playing 16 mins a night. additionally, he had 42 points in 33 games in the AHL prior to getting called up. he's hardly a "random guy".

 

Avenge us, Predators

 

I did not expect the oilers to make it that far. I can't wait to see them next year.

 

Hopefully this is the start of something. McD said something important I think - "we now know what it's like to lose and we arnt going to want this feeling again".

Guentzel has played with Crosby since being in the NHL but was one of the leading scorers in the AHL before that. They new he was going to be good, just didn't think he'd be in the NHL already.

 

And I'm pretty sure Guentzel scored in the game Crosby missed in the Caps series. Dude is the real deal
