Yep, caps are gonna finally win the cup.

 

This is crosbys 3rd(?) concussion? He can't keep doing this. So whack that the best in the world is going to miss significant time/likely retire early because some wreckless shit and careless sticks.

 

I hope so, but I feel like the Predators are the "team of destiny" right now. They remind me so much of the Kings the year they beat the Devils

With that being said, Go Blues and Caps(for my hockey pool sake)

That was the first thing I noticed. That was the malicious part of the play, if any

Best player in hockey gets hit in the head twice on the same play within seconds of each other by two guys that are known rivals of that individual player. Ovechkin did not slash down towards Crosby stick but instead was parallel to his shoulder. The original hit to the head was swing from one of the players with the hardest shot and it had immediate effect on his head/balance. As Crosby was falling Niskanen felt the need to still make contact forward towards the injured player. When your team is down 2-0, After losing two games at home to your top rival you will do anything to win if you're a Capital.

In professional sports people go after star players all the time. Connor McDavid even came out this year to say that Manning on the flyers admitted to trying to hurt him and take him out. There is a line and people do cross it too often. If you remember the Steckel hit there was no penalty or suspension given for intentionally shouldering Crosby in the head. Again it was a Washington Capitals.

It's never fun to watch the game when the best players should be there but the other team doesn't want them to. For the record I was interested in seeing the leafs win the cup

You're allowed too. The best player in hockey isn't playing. That fact alone is unfortunate for the league and its fans, let alone the poor player. Maybe the Pens will dress Sestito next game. We all know he only serves one purpose
