I'm rooting for the ducks to win this round

only so the Preds can sweep them next round

 

Gibson's such a weird goalie he will play terrible for half a game and then just decide to finally show up and look like the best goalie in the world.. he does this all the time too, it's like he doesn't start actually trying until he gives up a couple.

 

@Chris Yates i was wrong about rinne, looks like he's at top form. Seems to be playing really aggressive now, really think it's working for him too.

 

It helps that the D in front of him is playing better than they have all season right now. He was stellar in the last month of the regular season, so I was confident it would transition into the postseason as well.

Just throwing this to the wind : I wanted either NSH or WAS to win. WAS because Ovi deserves one.

NSH is the perfect package. Fanbase seems fun as hell, and it reminds me of NHL 2004 - the last one I loved, and PK. Because you know PK would spend his day with The Cup letting cancer-stricken orphans who are also tragically paraplegic just hang out with it.

Kinda knew the ducks would come back, wouldn't be surprised if they win next game too

 

Fully expect the caps to go full goon squad tonight. Expecting multiple cross checks from Niskanen and Orpik. Interested to see how the penalties shake out in this one. Saw a few soft calls, but the refs have seemed pretty consistent.
