Since I can't pick on behalf of Cleveland, I will wait until everyone gets the team they want first. Either way I have to look over a new roster and free agents so may as well wait and let folks get their teams selected.

 

That Jeanne news is tough, really sad for him

 

Jeanne was really climbing up the boards too. There's a small possibility he could still be medically cleared, though likely not in time for the draft. Feel for the kid.

 

Idk Marfan syndrome, even if he was cleared... he'd go late, if at all. There's a lot of good international prospects ahead of him because of that too. That's a bummer, hopefully he could at least play there still and this isn't the end of his career.

2017 Chorus NBA Mock Draft

 

Koenig got a promise in the second round

 

The Knicks are taking frank (assuming he's there, which I think he will be)

 

I'm pretty high on Frank. I watched him in the Euro U19s in December. The dude can score pretty well and lock guys down.

 

Also some Duke people have been saying they think Giles got a promise because he cancelled his miami workout

 

Hamidou should've stayed in this draft, he would've went in the 1st round... even though he has no chin

 

He definitely would have been drafted mid first round. I guess he's banking on being a top 5 pick next year.

 

I'm not sure that'll happen, he'll have to have a monster year. They have three guards they committed, I'm guessing he will play next to quade green as a two guard? There's also a lot of guards who may come out next year so there's less chance of him being picked higher than he deserves, right now he's mocked to go in the high teens. Also... does he know he doesn't have a chin?

 

Bell at 26 plz

 

I kind of want the Bulls to trade down in this draft. Most mocks have them in a range that's full of big men as "best available". I'd much rather they trade down to the mid to late 20's to get a guard/wing who can shoot and defend like Derrick White or Terrance Ferguson. I'm just not in love with the big guys available this year.

 

So he probably won't be there at 17 for the Bucks then

 

I'm not sure, if the medicals are bad... he definitely will be

 

Draftexpress has Ntilikina falling to 15... one away from the Bulls. I feel like they there's no way he goes that late, but if the Bulls could manage to steal him I'd be ecstatic.

 

I'm curious to see what the Bulls do. I have no faith in this regime to develop a young talent, so it's hard to get excited about any of the raw / high upside people.

Someone like Justin Jackson is probably our best hope. Bah.

 

True, development under Thibs was great, but under Hoiberg I haven't seen much.

A Kemba - Monk pairing would be fun offensively. I'd watch that team.

 

Kemba - Monk - Batum will score some points

 

And MKG and Dwight could provide some solid defense if everything goes according to plan.

That should be plenty in the East to make the playoffs.

I mean, Charlotte is a pretty big city. But ok.
