The fan mics just caught someone saying a homophobic slur about Justin turner and I'm just like welp.

Mariners within 1.5 of wild card. This is the hump they've had trouble with the past few years

 

What'll happen is the mariners will hold the wildcard at some point for awhile and then the last two weeks of the season lose 80% of their games. It would be very mariners.

I remember I had a speech pathology teacher a few years ago that was a really big brewers fan and she was furious when they were definitely going to the playoffs and then lost the spot like a week before the end of the season. It was kind of funny. They were surging and then all of the sudden they were out of it.

 

As a Cardinals fan, I remember the collapse fondly

 

I love collapses the Cardinals take advantage of.

 

I love when the cardinals collapse but then again they already are collapsed, 2 games out of .500 or not. They'll be even closer once they beat a garbage Mets team

 

Collapse implies a high point, which we haven't had this season.

 

The braves collapse that helped us win the World Series in 2011 was beautiful.

 

Now that the Brewers suck again I'm glad we aren't trading any prospects

 

Can't really remember a recent end of season collapse. When they don't make they're bad all season.

 

They didn't give up a lot but very meh move for a meh team

Why not just get both? This is the year, other than correa being out a month.

 

i love the idea of the astros getting Verlander. i've been saying he needs to go to a young team (i thought a team like the rockies or even brew crew) but yeah the astros is perfect. Keuchel, McCullers, Mchugh, Verlander, Peacock... damn

 

I would deal Peacock now with how well hes been pitching and slot in Martes instead (but other teams will want Martes, oh well)

edit: actually id keep Fiers in the rotation and move Martes to the pen for the rest of this season

 

I hope we trade Verlander more than anything

 

What the hell did Peacock did this season? He's been ridiculously (and incredibly surprisingly) good.

The Orioles should definitely trade britton and Adam Jones for a ridiculous package
