Manchester Orchestra's A Black Mile to the Surface wins with 26. Pop 2 had 25, and Sleep Well Beast and Melodrama tied with 22. feel like any of those three would have been more interesting winners lol.

 

Not saying Black Mile is a bad album, but for a year as stacked as 2017 was this is the most lackluster winner lol

that album winning isn’t surprising so much as it winning by such a narrow margin with more interesting albums so close is disappointing

 

Yeah I'm sad Pop 2 didn't get it.

 

ManOrch has two of the three lowest winners since 2000.

 

Not a ton of votes in this thread, to be fair, and a lot of variety in the albums people were voting for.

I'm mostly surprised Stranger in the Alps wasn't one of the top vote-getters, since Phoebe seems to be one of the 4-5 most beloved artists on this site these days.
