Really was hoping for Baroness. I think Megadeth's new album was really great but their was better metal out there.
My stream died at the beginning of that, and I didn't find a new one until after it. The bits I saw looked cool though!
Didn't need her to tear anything up but it didn't have to be boring. It felt like an intro performance before the actual performance starts.
I mean, I expected way more, but then the instant I saw just how pregnant she was, I was fine with a very subdued performance. She could've just thrown back to 1+1 and destroyed, but it wouldn't make any sense and there's not a song like that on Lemonade.
That Bey performance was fucking incredible. Also that adidas commercial after with Dev and Kareem and Snoop et al was pretty cool I mean we can argue over whether the best albums/songs/whatever generally win at these awards but Blackstar was absolutley one of the best albums of last year so I'd say yes. "Blackstar" was definitely the best song in that category imo. If it were a different Radiohead song off of A Moon Shaped Pool I might have gone with that. idk if I've ever heard it before but I dug that performance
