With the 22nd pick, the Brooklyn Nets select Justin Patton, f/c, Creighton

If you're the nets, you probably need another guard or a wing but because you're the Nets you should always go bpa. Justin Patton is considered a steal here, he could be a really good player in a year or two and will make their awful team way more fun. I think he could definitely play with Brookie the Wookiee and is going to help in the rim protector department because they have little to no depth outside of him. This would be a steal for Sean marks, love that dude.

With the 23rd pick the Toronto Raptors select Jordan Bell, F, University of Oregon.

In Bell the Raptors get a defensive spark plug to terrorize the paint and a rim runner with excellent hands to catch lobs from any angle. If his post up game and jumper continue to develop, watch out.

Utah selects DJ Wilson, F, Michigan


He has potential to be a solid 3&D guy and would pair well with Gobert and Hayward in a couple years if they're able to retain Hayward *crosses fingers*

With the 25th pick, the Orlando Magic select Caleb Swanigan, PF, Purdue

Yea, still deciding. I would imagine that Neil trades back with someone like Orlando or picks a foreign guy here, hmm

 

You can't entice me with a white foreign dude. But you def can the actual Magic administration.

 

Lol well I'd be trading back to pick a white foreign dude, there's still players that fit left. I'm just deciding between different potentials. Also I hate tj leaf and I'm stoked I'm not picking him. I'll pick in a second, I'm doing back to back with Brooklyn so two in a row.

 

With the 26th pick the Portland trailblazers select Tony Bradley, pf/c, unc

I kept going back and forth but I reminded myself that I was overthinking it and I should go with my eyes rather than what random mock drafts say. Tony Bradley has been rising up the boards, and for good reason. He didn't play a ton for unc because he was blocked by seniors Kennedy Meeks and Isaiah hicks but boy is he gifted. He's got the height and the physical ability to play both the 4 and the 5 and maybe it's just the nostalgia and me but he reminds me a younger LMA. He can shoot it in space and has a really quick release for a big man, which impressed me a lot for a guy who's 6'11 and has a 7'5 wingspan. I could see him playing next to nurkic or in place of nurkic with smaller lineups. Something he needs to work on is probably his body but I have belief the staff can sort that out, in that sense he's the opposite of LMA. I wanted a good variety of players who could do different things in this draft and I think I did that. In real life, I'm not sure if they would keep this pick unless they could find a suitor for crabbers or Leonard but if they did they might choose a foreign guy like antes. I'm stoked I didn't pick tj leaf. I hate that guy.

 

With the 27th pick the Brooklyn Nets select Jawun Evans, pg, Oklahoma State

The Nets have a glut of random guards but none of them are really true point guards. I like Evans, before the season a lot of people said he was a young cp3 and I'm pretty sure he isn't that but I also believe that ok state did him no favors with how middle of that road that team was either. I don't think the situation was nearly as bad as Dennis smiths but I think his talent is on a much higher level than was shown. He would be excellent in Kenny Atkinsons Spurs-like system. Maybe it's a tiny bit of a reach but I figured the bargain I got with Justin Patton would help balance it out.

I considered him a lot too but I'm not even pretending like Teague/Lowry isn't about to be a part of this team.

 

I can't tell if he's overrated or super underrated because there's hardly any points in this draft as a whole. I think he would still be underrated, that team sucked and he's not 6'5 lol

I kind of hate that all my portland picks were from NC though

 

I am really bummed Jordan Bell is taken.

The Lakers take Ike Anigbogu. As much as I'd like a faster player to play in Walton's GSW-like system, the Lakers really need some defensive players and I am not sure they are going to get that with their backcourt.
