Nevermind. I don't wanna trade the pick. With the #1 overall pick, the Celtics make the obvious move and select Markelle Fultz. Best not to outsmart ourselves here. @Turkeylegz is up.

And with the second pick in the NBA draft, the Los Angeles Lakers select Lonzo Ball of UCLA!

I mulled over between him and Jackson but at the end of the day I'd like to have a strong point guard position and Russell wasn't cutting it. I'd like to try Russell at the shooting guard position and see if he is able to flourish better there. @MyBestFiend you're up!

I will make my pick in an hour or two (about to leave work), but in the meantime if anyone has trade offers let me know

The kings are probably the only team who can make a legit offer

Even if you could afford them though, they're so ugly

Honestly, I'd buy them for the case they come in. That's pretty rad.

With the 3rd pick, the 76ers select Jonathan Isaac, F, Florida State.

With Ball off the board, there's no obvious fit for Philly. So I'll take the most versatile player available that can fill an immediate role. Isaac is a solid shooter with room to grow, and he has the height and athleticism to be a great versatile defender. He's an ideal 4 next to Embiid and could even play some smallball 5. He's never going to be a go-to scorer, but he has the ability to be a starter that can hold his own on offense. He also fits well with potential FA signing Kyle Lowry. Isaac may never make an all-NBA team, but he fills a role next to Simmons and Embiid flawlessly.

With the 5th pick the Sacramento Kings select De'Aaron Fox, PG, Kentucky.

With Darren Collison and Ty Lawson's contracts both off the books this off season the Kings get their PG of the future in Fox, a dynamic slasher, explosive athlete, and active on-ball defender who will pair nicely with the sharp-shooting Buddy Hield in the back court.

I'd offer Matt a trade but then he'd have too many picks to know what to do with lol

I love Fox objectively but can't justify him for the Sixers because of his shooting. If he was even passable there I would have taken him

Yeah really doesn't make sense for the 6ers to take a non shooting ball handler with Simmons on the roster.
And the suns have a thousand guards
Also im stressing him not falling to us

Fox to Sacramento would be great for them.

I'd be shocked if he doesn't. Celts and Sixers aren't gonna take him. The Suns have 1000 guards. If the Lakers do, Sixers take Ball immediately, so the Kings will get to pick between all but one of of Jackson/Tatum/Monk/Isaac/Smith. Plus you got the 10 pick. They're in good shape

The first like 6 or 7 picks are all players i'd be comfortable with drafting. Deep deep draft.

Magic select Malik Monk, SG, Kentucky

I love two guys here but Monk gets us out of that Fournier contract sooner rather than later.
